At Liberating the Chained, we know the depth of the evils of slavery, and we know it is our duty to teach the uninformed so that we can stop the injustice of slavery. One might wonder what exactly is so awful about enslavement. Here is what makes slavery an injustice:
At one point or another in one's life--during tough teenage years, in the thick of a mid-life crisis, or in an extended duration of deep thought--they will find themselves asking “What is the meaning of our lives? Why have I naturally felt purpose as I walked to work in the morning?” When thought about tangibly, this question usually has no clear answer. But when considering who we are, the question has a multitude of answers. We are humans, and we naturally have emotion. From the minute we are born, we start to grow a connection with the ones around us, our family. This love and dependence on them manifests into our very first reason for living. Hoping for the well-being of them, and for the well-being of ourselves so that we may continue to be around them. Going to school hoping to one day be able to do as much for them as they have done for us. Thinking of them in everything we do. Going to them for guidance and strength, and giving them guidance and strength. As humans, family is the center of our lives. Even as we grow older, and we fall in love with other people and grow our circle of loved ones, we have a sensitive need to be surrounded by mutual love and affection. We are a very connected species. Through all of the madness of the day, the one thing that is there when the day is over is the love of our family and loved ones. Their presence is the very basis of our emotional well-being. As we grow up and see the world, we grow a love for various things and fields of study, depending on the wiring of our unique minds. These various interests soon become our second reason for living, we want to explore the world and our minds. We have a natural curiosity about things, and we naturally love things. It would be a crime against humanity for one man to keep another from fulfilling these desperate urges to love and learn. When slave capturers separated families for life and when plantation owners forced their slaves to do exactly what they told them to do, slaves were robbed of their circle of love, their strength, and their freedom to do all in the world that gave them joy. We were all equally given this world to take by the hands and explore, and our men have robbed millions of that God-given fortune. Millions of men have had their journeys cut short by the cold, selfish intentions of our people. I used to think only material things could be stolen. Slavery proved me wrong. Slavery is an unthinkable theft of happiness, and of the freedom to live. These humans are being put into a world where they want desperately to live and enjoy living like any other human, but are beaten when they are suspected of doing so. Slaves are given a life where the people they love are gone forever, and the only people around them treat them like animals, and assault and rape them until they grow tired of beating, or are momentarily satisfied. The life of a slave other than depressing is frustrating, it's like being in a cold, locked box, knowing that all you want is on the outside, but you'll never get it again for as long as you live. You have been robbed of your life. You live in fear knowing that the man who owns you will have no problem killing you if it means it will teach the others not to rebel. There is no way out, you cannot live anymore. There is no free will, you are pushed, whipped, and beaten into doing everything your owner wants you to do, all because someone stole the control you have over your life and sold it to him. There is no such thing as free labor. There is only stolen labor. Slave owners, the slave was not paid to do the work he does, the person who took his life from him and gave him to you was. This is the life of a slave. It is worse than any disease, and any predicament. Your emotions, your desires, and your identity are all disregarded by everyone, all because it was decided that the complete dehumanization and partial murder of your race was necessary to get labor. This practice not only completely oversteps the boundaries of what humans should do while on this earth. We have no right to beat other humans into working for us, take away their fundamentals of life, and then give them the rest of their lives to despair over the unwavering desire for those fundamentals. If this obvious reason is not enough to move you to join our movement, maybe the raw indisputable facts will be. Our website gives an overflowing pile of the truths of the south, so you can no longer live in ignorance of what is happening. It is our job to stop this. Open the box the slaves have been trapped in. Show them the tenderness of the human race that they have long forgotten. Show them that you know they have a soul. Show them that you care. Stop this injustice. LTC will not stop spreading the evils of the south until these poor slaves are freed and returned to their countries. Join us.
